Thank yous!

It's been a crazy September what with putting a book out while being heavily pregnant. So before I actually burst - really truly actually burst - I wanted to say a big THANKS to all of you who have supported me in this time. Whether you bought Love Lost and Found, told someone else to buy it, or just cheered me on -
And just as importantly, it takes a whole bunch of people to make a book. So a big thanks to the fabulous editors (Alethea, Rima Jean and, Laura Anne) publicity team (Misa and kiwi girl Emma), critique partners (Bronwyn, Carmen, Tania and Trudi), support partners (lovely James), twitter cheerleaders (sci-five Evie B) and general ace friends that I have in my life. To the other September release ladies (Marisa, Hayson and Sofia), way to go! Now all I have to do is enjoy the ride of having another book out in the world, and have this baby! But in the mean time, don't forget that I'm all over the net answering questions, and unless I'm actually in labor - I'll be stopping by to chat on all these blogs.

And if you've missed it - Love Lost and Found is ready and waiting to bring you a good dose of seriously happy ever after ;-) on Amazon, Barnes and Nobel and iBooks!

x Happy Reading

Fab Four - Final Guest

And finally - the last (but definately not least, because - cowboys!) of the Fab Four Indulgence Release laaadies. The lovely Marisa Cleveland stops by with her new title Reforming the Cowboy. Take it away Marisa!

1. Four words to describe Reforming the Cowboy: Sex, skepticism, sincerity, and strength
2. Four Favorite Indulgences: Cuddling with hubby, sipping champagne, nibbling on strawberries, and reading a romance novel.
3. Four women/characters my hero, BILLY, would never date: Cruella de Vil, Catwoman, Bellatrix Lestrange, and Mystique from the X-Men
4. Four pick up lines my heroine, LACEY, would never go for:
Do you have a band aid? I scraped my knee falling for you.
Damn, if being sexy was a crime, you'd be guilty as charged!
There is something wrong with my cell phone. It doesn't have your number in it.
You must be a hell of thief, because you stole my heart from across the room.

Country singer Billy Hardy needs to get back on the charts. His manager assures him headlining the opening of a cafe in South Beach is his best chance at getting back to the big time. If he fails, his career is over for good this time.

Lacey Durant can't believe opening night includes the country singer she crushed on through college. And her customers agree he's dreamy. But his playboy reputation threatens her cafe's image and she can't afford that. She insists Billy stay with her so she can keep an eye on him, and thwart overenthusiastic fans.

Billy's charms and Lacey's sexy curves prove more than either can resist, but she refuses to be just another lyric in his well-known songs of heartbreak.

Fall into Romance Hop - and the FabFour continue

As I asked the FAB Four Indulgence release ladies to share, and made them answer a bunch of qutesions. I thought I better answer them myself too! And in the midst of this post - if you're following the Fall into Romance Hop - you might just find the answer to my Q&A - happy hunting and prize winning!

1) Give us a description of your September release in four words or sentences.
Love Lost and Found blends amnesia, curing cancer and smexy tropical heat.

2) Your four favorite indulgences
Chocolate, shoes, clothes and breakfast out. Last year my fabulous husband left me in our hotel room, took our toddler to scour Cambridge (UK) and returned to take me out for breakfast and to the three best shoe shops in the city. I knew there was a reason I married him!

3)        The four women/characters your hero would never date
1. Jessica Rabbit – okay so she’s hardly a real person but she’s plenty of men’s version of hawt – that voice, those curves…Rick would worry she’d be after his money though, or worse, his company and stay well clear. 2. Megan Fox – sure she’s hot, but the way she stares into the distance would have Rick worried that they weren’t likely to have any type of chat after the steam had cleared. 3. Helen Mirrin – she’d be a great conversationalist and man has she still got it, but Rick’d be worried she might be too smart and want more from him that he’d be able to give – his workaholic ways take some serious taming. 4. Meredith Grey (from Grey’s Anatomy). This one would be a lot harder, she’s hot, smart, focused on healing people, but the problem with Meredith (apart from her marital status) would likely be she’s still not quite enough of a workaholic…Christina Yang however, now there might be a match made in romance novel heaven.

4) The four pick-up lines your heroine would never go for
I wish I was one of your tears, so I could be born in your eye, run down your cheek, and die on your lips. (She’d just roll her eyes and wipe away the tears from cringing)
We both know that I am going to follow you home anyway, so why don’t you just come along peacefully? (Time to call the police)
If you were a new hamburger at McDonald's, you would be McGorgeous. (Extra cheese with that?)
What do you like for breakfast? (Not bad, but given her penchant for avoiding one night stands, Felicity aint gunna go there. Any guy that pulls out that line is likely to get written off as a Player with a capital P)

A short excerpt from Love Lost and Found
Their walk took them high up into the dark cliffs, and Felicity had to bite her tongue plenty to stop from complaining.  Richard kept up a punishing pace, and that combined with the humidity meant she could feel her hair frizzing with each and every sweaty step. As they started to descend, Richard finally showed signs of slowing and followed a trickle of water off the path to a shallow pool.
“Thank the Lord. Melting was not how I planned to die. Time for lunch before these lobsters we’re hauling around decide to crawl back into the ocean and I decide to join them.”
“Fine. I wouldn’t want you escaping again.”
Again? Weird thing to say. Felicity shrugged off Richard’s response and sat on a rock, fanning herself with her hat.
“I do believe you might expire if you don’t get in that water. Best we undress for luncheon don’t you think?” Without waiting for her reply, he dumped his small bag, stripped off his jacket and shirt, and peeled down his trousers to reveal turquoise board shorts and an array of ink Felicity would never have guessed at. He stepped into the pool and splashed the water up over his chest, making his tattoos sparkle and his muscles gleam. Oh God. If there was ever a need for a new Caped Crusader, Richard McCashin’s chest could take on Christian Bale’s any day. His tattooed torso was hairless with perfect pecs, not too buff so they looked like man-boobs, but firm and smooth and…Must. Not. Look. At. Passenger. Muscles. Say something to distract yourself. “Wouldn’t have picked you for the coloring-in kind.”
He rubbed his hand over his chest.
Duh. Now you’ll be rude if you don’t look.

And the Blurb - you can grab your copy from Amazon or B&N now!

Felicity Williams can't remember the last five years thanks to an accident that wiped out her memory. She fled her old life in hopes of starting fresh and found refuge working on a cruise ship. But her past is coming for her…

Rick McCarthy wakes after a climbing accident to discover that his business partner and fiancĂ©e has quit her job and disappeared. He’s trying to accept that she’s run out on him, but now he needs her signature to close a deal that could literally be life or death. He’ll go to any extreme to get what he needs…even if that means becoming someone else to win her back. But a little lie becomes a large mess when they’re stranded on a deserted island together, and old misunderstandings might ruin their chance at new love…

Dont forget the rest of the fab four Indulgence releases are stopping by here. Sofia's post is below, and I also have Hayson Manning and Marisa Cleveland. See you all back here soon and good luck on the Fall into Romance Blog Hop!
